Our Nido Program (Italian for nest) serves infants from 6 weeks of age to 18 months.<\/h6>\n

Maria Montessori believed that education as an \u201cAid to Life\u201d begins from the period of pregnancy. Our Nido program specializes in meeting infants\u2019 and parents\u2019 unique needs, and offers parents information on how to give your child the best education from birth. Infants begin their path toward independence in our Montessori Infant Community.<\/p>\n

The adults are responsible to guide children along this path and every moment is a learning opportunity. At each stage in development, we must meet children\u2019s needs to maximize their developmental interests and potential. Infants in our Nido program are given freedom to move, eat, sleep, and communicate at will, guided by special materials and furniture to facilitate this development. Each family works with the Head Teacher to formulate an individual plan for feeding, rest, toileting, and activities. As infants\u2019 interest in communication and movement grows, they begin to seek a broader environment for stimulation and become ready to join our toddler community.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Since the first time I walked into the Nido room, I could feel how safe my daughter would be there. In getting to know the wonderful girls who take care of the babies, there was no question we would take our daughter anywhere else. It felt right down to my heart from the beginning. Now that she has been in their care for a few months, she has grown so much. We are amazed that at only 12 months she could drink from a cup on her own. I cannot say enough wonderful things about all the staff at Montessori as well. From the office staff to the teachers my daughter isn’t even in their class, they all have warm smiles and helpful assistance. I look forward to being a part of this amazing school through our first child’s experience, to the next child we are planning on having.<\/p>\n
